Cliff Jumping?!

My friends know I love adventure, and cliff jumping is always something I'm down for. Even with another seven mile hike, the swimming hole was worth it.

The trail head is called Bell Trail, and it is about an hour outside of Sedona. The drive takes you up onto a mesa and along some small roads through the dusty landscape. There's a parking lot and restrooms right next to the trailhead.

Covered in my bikini and sunscreen, my boyfriend and I started the three mile hike which stays flat for most of the journey until the last three quarters of a mile. This section starts climbing the rock walls, giving you beautiful views of the creek running through the canyon.

Along this hike, there are multiple spots were visitors can head off and reach the water. Some groups took advantage of this and chilled under the canopy of trees next to the stream.

We were determined to make it to the exciting ending where we would get to cannonball into the refreshing water.

So we hiked!

Once we got to our destination, everyone was having a great time, eating snacks, playing music, and of course cliff jumping!

There's nothing like that feeling when you jump and you fall, and then there is that moment where it feels like you are falling a little too long until you drop into ice cold water.

I cannot wait to go back and do it again!

The trees and orange rock surrounding this waterway were the perfect companions for laying down to dry out after the plunge.

Alas, we eventually had to make our way back along the three mile hike to our car. I was sad to go, but jubilant knowing we had found such a fun summer spot in Arizona. I definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for a refreshing weekend activity!
